My research program is focused on designing next-generation heterogeneous catalysts and sustainable chemical processes that address the twin global challenges of resource depletion and carbon management. Operating at the interface of materials chemistry, green engineering, and surface science, my work establishes efficient chemical pathways to transform abundant, renewable biomass into critical platform molecules and clean energy carriers. By systematically exploring the synergy between active metal centers and tailorable support materials, my lab focuses on engineering catalytic systems that display exceptional activity, selectivity, and hydrothermal stability under industrially relevant conditions.

Complementing our biomass valorization programs, we are actively advancing CO2 mitigation strategies through innovative Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) and Integrated Carbon Capture and Utilization (ICCU) technologies.
