We work in the field of Cellulose and Carbohydrate Polymers and  other natural polymers like  chitosan, industrial polysaccharides,  etc., with our main focus on developing functionalized polymers for new applications as well as synthesis of functionalized nanoparticles and nanofibers from cellulose, chitosan, lignin, and so on. We also work on developing strategies for synthesis of biodegradable polymers. On the technology side, we work on biomass as a basic raw material to produce a variety of polymers and platform chemicals, fuels like bioethanol, pretreatment technologies for biomass for efficient conversion, and prebiotics from natural sources.
