Chemical Engineering & Process Development

About Me

We work on asymmetric synthesis of biologically active natural products and pharmaceuticals using organo and metal catalysts. We also concentrate on synthetic methodologies for C-H activation, C-C and C-N bond formations etc. We have expertise in Proline-catalyzed direct α-amination and α-aminooxylation of carbonyl compounds.

Professional Experience

1990 - Current- Scientist, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India.
2000 - 2001 Post Doctoral Research Fellow, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan.
2001 - 2002 Post Doctoral Research Fellow, KSU, Manhattan, USA.
2000 - Ph.D, National Chemical Laboratory, University of Pune, India.
