About Me
Research in my group integrates various elements of ligand synthesis, organometallic chemistry, green and sustainable chemistry to design catalytic transformation that can address scientific puzzles of fundamental importance. The scientific issues we wish to tackle revolve around phosphorus based ligand design, supramolecular catalysis based on cheaply available earth abundant transition metals for industrially important reactions like hydrogenation, hydroformylation and insertion polymerization. The individual research projects may be thematically very focused on one problem for example hydrophosphination of internal alkynes. We are interested in wide range of transformation and have the following research topics to offer:
Catalytic synthesis of P-chiral phosphines
Functional olefin (co)polymerization
Polymers from renewable resources Cooperative bimetallic catalysis
