Research Interest:

  • Micro-rheology of dense, sheared dry and wet granular media, flow dynamics and instability of a spreading suspension under external forcing, transport of slurry through porous media, packing and clustering of particulate matter due to fluid-particle interactions, gelling and long range ordering in laponite suspensions
  • Development of flow visualization techniques to study 2- and 3-dimensional dynamics of particulate media, DEM simulations of particulate flows in different geometries
