My research interests are focused on the following topics: 1. Functional nanohybrids for solar energy conversion One of the critical challenges in designing photocatalytic materials is to delay the recombination of charge carriers after light illumination. We want to fabricate novel, functional heterojunctions for efficient charge separation at the interface. By increasing the recombination lifetime, we want to improve light harvesting efficiency for various photocatalytic applications. 2. Nanomaterials of sensing applications We are also interested in the design of nanomaterials for nanozyme applications. Photo-oxidase nanozymes are emerging enzyme‐mimicking materials that produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) upon light stimulation. This light-responsive nanozyme can catalyze the oxidation of the various chromogenic substrate and consequently become helpful in optical sensing applications.
