 PhD Students

 Abhilasha Atul Doke (SRF)

She received her Master's degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Currently she is aiming to investigate the influence of environmental conditions on the folding and aggregation energy landscape of TDP-43. Her research interests span protein structures and animal behavior, and she is intrigued by the cellular mechanisms of vision.

Beyond academia, She thrive on exploring the world, and seeking the thrill of adventure sports.

 Sonal Rajendra More (SRF)

She has completed her master's from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in Environmental Biotechnology, and bachelor's degree from Nashik. She is working on site-specific studies of misfolding and aggregation of aggregation-prone protein, TDP-43 using fluorescence-based methods. She intend to understand the molecular basics of unfolding, misfolding, oligomerization, and aggregation.

Apart from research, She love to spend time dancing and reading. She enjoy socializing.

 Anjali Divakar Patil (SRF)

She has done her master's in Zoology from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Currently, She is working on precursor conformations of protein TDP-43 involved in misfolding and aggregation; which is a pathology in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. She is also keen to see what will be the effect of disease-related mutations on the folding of the TDP-43 protein and its aggregation.

Apart from Science, stories excite her! So, she appreciate literature, movies, plays, and web series of different genres! And she feel the music is one of the best gifts given by nature!

Mona Sunil Kirmire (JRF)

She completed her post-graduation in Zoology (Molecular Biology) from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. She is interested in understanding the role of RBM45 in misfolding and aggregation which is involved in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), it also shows co-aggregation with other ALS-involved proteins like TDP43 and FUS.Therefore, She is also studying the nature of co-aggregation of RBM45 with TDP43.

Beside Science, She love to play basketball. She thinks the world has beautiful places, She love to explore them. Sometimes colours give her peace therefore she like to play with them on white paper.
