- We are working in the area of synthetic organic chemistry, new economical/alternative process for syntheis of biologicalyy active compounds. We have achieved first toal synthesis of Cepanolide a cancer chemopreventive agent, isolated from onion. Worked on anti-arrthythmic drug Cibenzoline. Synthesis of new compounds/dye and their applicationd for dye sensitised solar cells. Research is also in the area of Ionic Liquids and their applicaitons for organic transformation reactions.
